The TriMedia festival is unique in that it combines independents films, original theatre performances and television pilots. From September 7-9, the Lory Theater at Colorado State University, the Lincoln Center and Bas Bleu Theatre will each host different parts of the festival.
The opening night film is always popular and this year the film is the narrative feature, The Citizen. The Choice City Award films will be shown on Saturday and Sunday: the narrative feature, Red Dog (Saturday) and the documentary, The Speed of Orange (Sunday).
In addition the festival includes an Emerging Talent student film section showcasing international level talent and featuring students in the Front Range Colorado region; a film/TV/theatre industry professional’s discussion panel; and a student theatre section and world premieres of original theatre work by Colorado writers and actors.
Tickets and passes will go on sale in August. The complete festival schedule and ticketing information will be available in August on the festival’s Web site at www.trimediafestival.org.
Several featured filmmakers and actors will make appearances at the festival, and audiences will have opportunities to meet them and ask questions.
The festival is an annual event organized by Horsetooth Productions, a local education nonprofit, with support from the Fort Collins Conventions and Visitors Bureau and the Fort Collins Downtown Business Association. Sponsors include the Bohemian Foundation, City of Fort Collins, Crescent Sun Pictures, Erion Foundation, High Country Beverage, KUNC, Maven Websites and Town Square Media.
We are looking forward to the 7th Annual TriMedia Film Festival. Have you ever been to the festival? If so what do you enjoy most about it?
