  • The Directors’ Award for Best of the Festival was given to “The Citizen,” directed by Sam Kadi.
  • The Trailblazer Award was given to Cary Elwes.
  • The Choice City Award for Best Feature Film was given to “Red Dog,” directed by Kriv Stenders.
  • The Choice City Award for Best Feature Documentary was given to “The Speed of Orange,” produced by Justin Hunt.
  • The Audience Choice Award for Best of the Festival was given to “First Kiss,” by Charles Hood.
  • The Audience Choice Award for Best Military Salute Documentary was given to “Kings of Barbeque: BBQ Kuwait,” produced by John Markus.

A Lebanese man who wins the green card lottery arrives in New York, looking for a new life in the land of opportunity. Unfortunately for him, he arrives the day before 9/11. It will take all his courage and determination to fulfill his dreams of becoming a citizen. Stars Khaled Nabawy (Kingdom of Heaven, Fair Game), Agnes Bruckner (Blood and Chocolate), William Atherton (Die Hard, Die Hard 2), and Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, No Strings Attached).
